Nick Davis came to the Vikings as a rookie free agent wide receiver from Wisconsin after the 2002 draft. He beat out another free agent, David Allen, to win the primary kickoff and punt-return duties for 2002.
He is a quick and strong athlete who ranked third in Wisconsin history with 3,926 all-purpose yards.
2002: Started the season returning kickoff and punts, but after struggling to hang on to the ball in kickoff returns he was relegated mainly to punt returns in the second half of the season. Had a long kickoff return of 39 yards and punt return of 57 yards, both in October.
