Chamberlain: "Honest Mistake"
Last year, rookie star Julius Peppers tested positive for ephedra and was made an example of with a four-game suspension -- a clear message to other young players.
For his part, an apologetic Chamberlain said he was aware of the policy and simply misread the labeling of the supplement that contained ephedra. Some VU sources have said the team complained about Chamberlain's work ethic, but they believe Chamberlain's version of events -- a simple mistake in reading a list of ingredients.
VU has been told that Chamberlain likely won't appeal the suspension.
With bad news on Michael Bennett and Chamberlain coming in the span of 24 hours, the Vikings are hoping for a quiet weekend and some good news for a change.
