The Vikings aren't expected to use Thursday night's practice against the Kansas City Chiefs as a scrimmage that features a lot of time for the front-line players. There are a number of factors for that, as head coach Brad Childress explained.

Those that had visions of Jared Allen mixing it up with his former teammates and sacking whichever Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is under center may wake up to reality tomorrow evening in River Falls, Wis. When the Vikings practice against the Chiefs starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, it will look more like a practice than a scrimmage, and it likely will have backups and roster-bubble players...
